About Dr. Calvin L. Hobbs

Dr. Hobbs received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 1977. He obtained ancillary pre-medical studies at Harvard University in 1975. Dr. Hobbs received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1981, following which he did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgia Health Sciences University. He was voted “Chief Resident of the Year” during his final year of residency.

Dr. Hobbs has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for nearly 30 years, delivering some 10,000 babies and servicing three generations of families.

Dr. Hobbs has remained active in academic medicine teaching resident physicians and medical students. He serves as Clinical Associate Professor in both the departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family Medicine at Georgia Health Sciences University, as well as Clinical Instructor for Ross University School of Medicine.
